Verify a Card

This endpoint allows you to validate a credit card, using either its open card number or its tokenized representation. It confirms that the card is valid, active, and not subject to restrictions such as being cancelled, blocked, or expired.

Usage Scenarios:
- Ensuring the card is valid before storing it in the vault.
- Verifying a card prior to initiating a payment or subscription.
- Reducing transaction failures by detecting invalid or restricted cards early.

Notes:
- This operation accepts either an open card number (number) or a previously generated tokenized card number (number_token), typically obtained via the /v1/tokens/card endpoint.
- Card information such as brand, expiration, and CVV must match what was originally provided.
- A successful response includes a verification ID, authorization code, and transaction ID, which can be logged for traceability.

number_tokenstring

Tokenized card number, generated via the /v1/tokens/card endpoint. Send number_token or number.

authenticationobject

3DS authentication data for CNP (Card Not Present) account verification transactions. Required when the card verification flow includes 3DS authentication.

Authentication code encrypted by the card scheme. The field content can be a HEXA or Base64 value, according to the MPI used.

ecistring

ECI (Electronic Commerce Indicator) code of the 3DS authenticated transaction. Generated by an external MPI.

tdsdsxidstring

A transaction identifier generated by 3DS 2.x protocol (equivalent to ds_trans_id).

tdsverstring

Indicates the 3DS protocol version used in the authentication (e.g., “1.0.2” or “2.2.0”).

tokenizationobject

Type of cryptogram used by the TSP (Token Service Provider). Values can be - TAVV For Visa cards; - UCAF For Mastercard brand cards.
