Installment Rules by Country

This page provides reference documentation for interest calculation modes and the installment plan IDs available for App2App transactions. Installment logic varies by country, acquirer configuration, and card brand.

Interest calculation modes

The operationMode parameter controls how transaction values are calculated across all markets:

Operation Mode	Value	Behavior
Manual	`"0"`	The terminal calculates the final transaction values based on internal business rules and user input.
Calculated	`"1"`	The third-party app performs the calculations. The amount sent must be the final total (principal plus interest).

Argentina

Installments in Argentina are governed by the “Cuotas” system and issuer- or government-sponsored financing plans. Installments apply only to credit card payments, and plan availability depends on terminal and commerce configuration.

Plan IDs

Valid planId values for Argentina credit transactions.

International brands — plans available for the major international card brands.

`plan_getnet_simple`	Visa, Master	Plan Cuotas — payment in two or more installments.
`plan_getnet_integral`	Visa, Master	Plan Getnet — installments with Getnet financing.
`plan_ahora`	Visa, Master, Amex, Cabal	Cuota Simple — installments with government-set interest rate.
`cuotas`	Amex	Cuotas — general installment plan with a single installment.
`plan_n`	Amex	Plan N — payment in two or more installments.
`plan_amex`	Amex	Plan Amex — payment in two or more installments.

Local brands — plans available for local Argentine card brands. Availability depends on terminal and commerce configuration.

Payment method restrictions

Installment availability by payment method:

Card (credit)	Yes	Supports the plan IDs listed above.
Card (debit)	No	Installments are not supported.
QR Code	Wallet-side	Installments are selected in the customer’s mobile wallet, not by the terminal.

Installments apply only to credit card payments. Plan and PlanId availability depend on terminal and commerce configuration. Invalid or unsupported combinations result in on-screen prompts or non-zero response codes.
