Before running the SDK Demo App, confirm your machine and your terminal meet the requirements below.

What you need

The list below covers your development machine and the terminal you will run the app on.

  • JDK 21 installed. The project compiles only with this version.
  • The Android SDK Platform 36 installed, which the project compiles against (compileSdk 36).
  • A certified Android POS terminal running Android 8.0 (API 26) or later, the project’s minSdk. The app compiles and installs even without one, but the SDK’s hardware flows — payment, refund, printing — only work on a physical terminal.
  • The terminal’s required services installed: Platform (com.pagonxt.hal.platform) and Middleware (com.getnet.posdigital.service). See Add the SDK to Your Project to install them.

Run without building

You can try the demo app without setting up the JDK or building the project. Install the pre-built APK delivered in the toolkit under apks/. This path skips the build and still gives you a fully functional app.

Install it, then open the Apolo DevKit app — that is its label on the terminal:

adb install "apks\common\apolo-devkit-brazil-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT-hml.apk"

Installing the APK only skips the build. It does not remove the terminal requirements above.
