Query Card Present Transaction Status

After initiating a payment or capture, use this guide to retrieve the current state of any Card Present (CP) transaction. This is the primary mechanism for polling after a QR Code scan, confirming a successful capture, or troubleshooting a transaction that did not return a clear response in your physical hardware integration.

Requirements

Before following the steps, you need to:

• API Credentials: Contact the Integration Support team to get your client_id and client_secret.
• Bearer Token: Generate your token with your credentials using the Authentication endpoint.
• Payment ID: You must have the UUID returned from the original transaction (authorization, capture, or QR code generation).

Transaction Status Process

The Getnet Regional API provides two lookup variants under the Payment Record Management structure.

Retrieve by Payment ID

This is the standard way to get the full transaction record, including its status and history of operations. Call the Get Transaction endpoint with the payment_id.

Retrieve by Idempotency Key (Optional)

Use this variant to confirm the result of a specific operation linked to a payment, such as a retry on a capture request. Call the Get by Idempotency Key endpoint.
