This guide details the integration and configuration process for the Getnet payment method on the WooCommerce platform (WordPress).

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

  • Client ID: Unique identifier provided by Getnet. Self-managed from the Getnet Portal.
  • Secret: Access key provided by Getnet. Self-managed from the Getnet Portal.
  • Backoffice access: To the WooCommerce platform in WordPress to perform the configurations.
  • Getnet WooCommerce plugin: Sent by email to the Getnet merchant at the time of product activation.

This guide covers standard configuration. Advanced integration errors and checkout customizations are not included.

Step 1: Credential Generation

To obtain the necessary integration keys:

  1. Access the Getnet Portal at https://www.globalgetnet.com.
  2. Log in with the credentials received via email.
  3. In the main menu, navigate to Productos Digitales > Checkout.
  4. Click Generate credentials.

The system will generate:

  • Client ID (application key)
  • Client Secret (application token)

Save these credentials securely. They will be used in WooCommerce configuration.

Step 2: Success and Error Screen Configuration

In the Getnet Portal:

  1. Navigate to the configuration step called Pantalla después de una transacción.
  2. Configure the redirect URLs:
    • Success URL: https://<your-store>/mi-cuenta/orders/
    • Error URL: https://<your-store>/carrito/

These URLs determine where customers will be redirected after payment completion.

Replace <your-store> with your actual store domain.

Step 3: Payment Notification Configuration (Webhook)

In the Getnet Portal Checkout section:

  1. Go to Notificaciones.

  2. Enter the webhook URL in the following format:

    https://<your-store>/?wc-api=getnet

    Example: https://getnettest.com/?wc-api=getnet

  3. Save the configuration.

This URL will receive asynchronous transaction status updates.

Step 4: Webhook User and Password Creation

In the Getnet Portal:

  1. Create a webhook user.
  2. Define a secure password.

These credentials will be used in WooCommerce as:

  • Usuário Webhook (Webhook User)
  • Password Webhook (Webhook Password)

Step 5: Plugin Installation in WordPress

  1. Log in to the WordPress administrator site with your username and password.
  2. Download the Getnet plugin for WooCommerce from this link: wanderlust-getnet-iframe-1.1.0.zip.
  3. In WordPress, go to Plugins > Añadir nuevo > Subir plugin and choose the downloaded Getnet plugin ZIP file.
  4. Click Instalar.
  5. After installation completes, click Activar.

Step 6: Plugin Selection in WooCommerce

  1. In WordPress, go to WooCommerce > Configuraciones > Pagamentos.
  2. Locate Getnet iFrame in the payment methods list.
  3. Enable the payment method.
  4. Click Gerenciar to access configuration settings.

Step 7: Plugin Configuration

Ensure the following mandatory customer fields are complete for transactions: Name, Last name, DNI, Street address, Street number, City, Postal code, Phone, and Email address.

Then, in the Getnet iFrame configuration screen, complete and check that the plugin configuration is as follows:
